Your Ghoul Quotient is...

Try this quiz if you desire to find the answer to that burning question: to which clan of vampires do you belong?

http://quizilla.com/users/Venatius/quizzes/

Just for fun, this is a small excerpt from my results… “Perhaps the most alienated of all the clans, Clan Malkavian's mention makes the blood of most vampires run just a little colder. They can see things few others can, from the physically unseen to the twisted depths of the sub-conscious mind right up to the wrinkles in fate that might be more than just chance. But obscuring, or some might say causing, all of this is the madness that runs in their cold veins, twisting the minds of all the clan's members to frayed wrecks of sanity.”

Ah, now things are just so much clearer! For some faintly disturbing reason, this quiz appealed to me. First, I tried the Dante’s Level of Hell quiz. (Thanks, Rups). It told me I’m going to Level 6, which just happens to be the penultimate level of hell. And now this. Muahahahaaa...

I refuse to accept that I belong to the Kindred of Clan Toreador.
So many times I have run away from the leather couch only to find that the shrink I pay by the hour has become the resident evil.

“ Cultivating some of the best (and sometimes worst) aspects of humanity, they wield powers of great social and physical grace. However, many fall prey to their own quest for beauty, their senses growing so easily ensnared as to make them easy marks for more "practical" Kindred.”

Such vampires to be…

I have scared myself by this description of my clan. makes me sound more like the Voldemort Clan ....hissszzzzzzz:

Faustian manipulators, the Followers of Set further their shady agendas through puppetmastery and sinister "business deals". Precisely what their agenda is, few know. But their claims to roots in a being far older than Caine and or far greater power can provide only sinister hints. Their connection to the serpent of Set is infamous, and one said to be more than just metaphor, as is manifest in some of their more disturbing powers. But as creatures of the nether darkness, even strong artificial light unsettles them, and the purifying, piercing sun can tear their slithering bodies asunder in moments.

Here is a question.
In which clan do you fit in the protagonist of 'intimacy’ (Hanif Kureishi. 1998)

[If he be so doomed why pray then, that I root for him?]

If you read the book, then I await a reply.

Now that R & D have both gone on a quiz trip, here is one about my fav. actor; Johnny D. Answer these few questions and find out which Jonny Depp movie character you most resemble.

Not at all interesting for those who do not adore Johnny and should you be, then alas all hope is lost…

BTW-Colitas," in the line "Warm smell of colitas," is often interpreted as a flower or a sexual reference. It is a Spanish word translated to Henley by The Eagles Mexican-American road manager meaning "Little Buds," and is a reference to marijuana.

Anonymous,
No, haven't read this (Hanif Kureishi. 1998) book you speak of. Probably too intellectual for me, hmph.
Do not adore Depp either. Hmm. Sorry to be so useless ;-)
Can I just call you Anon since we all on a first name basis here.

Cool work Col. Had to go back to the earlier posts to get that reference.
Devi, anon is just fine.

‘Intimacy’ is just a novel and must say rather mundane in everything except its premise. But then wont spoil it for you by talking too much about it. Strongly recommended.

Did any of you catch the promos of ‘Sin city’? Did not know the auteur of fluff candy stuff like ‘spy kids’ had it in him. Just love the imagery!
Which takes me to this next thing on movies:

‘Wings of desire’ (1987 Wim Wenders) against ‘City of angles’ (1998 Brad Silberling):
In remaking the movie they chose to rewrite the script, change the spirit (& managed to get such bad reviews) but why, pray why did they forget that important part of the movie, the cityscape of Berlin; war scarred & enigmatic…
Let sleeping classics lie.
